A Musical Tribute to the Civilian Conservation Corps
Michigan based author Bill Jamerson
will present a music and storytelling program about the Civilian Conservation
Corps at the Navarino Nature Center in Shiocton on Thursday, August 16 at
6:30pm. The ninety minute long program includes stories about the CCC and
singing original songs with his guitar. His presentation is as entertaining as
it is important; as honest as it is fun. It's about people both ordinary and
extraordinary, with stories of wit, charm and strength.
Tickets: $ 8 in advance, $10 at the door.

Bobcats in Wisconsin -- Thursday, August 23, 2012 Time: 7 pm
Bobcats
in Wisconsin, presented by John Clare.
This is a program that will discuss the status of Bobcats in the state,
as will have information on the Bobcat survey that took place on Navarino in
2011. No fee for this program,
however a donation would be appreciated to keep these speakers coming to the
nature center. (Yes, we have
Bobcats on Navarino. Come to the
program and find out more details.)
Farm Songs” with Tim Grimm Sun., September 9, 2012 at 1 pm
Back to NNC by popular demand award winning songwriter and actor Tim Grimm.
We have invited Tim back to NNC to share his “Farm Songs” concert just in
time for the harvest. Tim is
from southern Indiana, and walks the fine line between folk and country.
Tim’s songs are full of rural rumblings that have shaped his life.. rich
with descriptive details, and sung with warmth and intimacy –
recognizing the inextinguishable national romance with the idea of the
family farm and the vanishing landscape of rural America.
Tickets will be available starting on June 1, 2012

a 24” wreath using various evergreens from the wildlife area, then create your
own bow to top it off.
